Zhǔntí Púsà (準提菩薩,準提佛母, “Cundi Buddha-Mother”), while in Japan she is known as Juntei Kannon (准胝観音
She is recognized as one of the many forms Guan Yin– the Bodhisattva of Compassion. A Bodhisattva is anyone who vows to cultivate Wisdom and Compassion to save sentient beings from suffering.
The Guan Yin at waterloo street is Zhunti Guan Yin. I remember my master once told me. Dont confuse ur practice just focus chant ZhunTi mantra.
There are many forms of Guan Yin and ZhunTi Guan Yin is specially in Human Earth realms to help us. No wonder waterloo street is ZhunTi Guan Yin.
Cundi Mother Buddha is also called the Seven Koti Mother Buddha, which means that She is the Mother of Seven Billion Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

I have decided to study in details the meaning behind of 18 arm Zhunti.
U see the left side of the pic (her right hand) not holding any things but a fearless mudra.
The Bodhisattva is depicted with 18 arms and 3 eyes. These 18 arms are said to express the 18 merits of attaining Buddhahood. As the 18 arms of the Bodhisattva represent the 18 uncommon qualities, they are able to eliminate all the bad karma of sentient beings, therefore the name .
But we start slow. Why not today we study her right arms second arm fearless mudra fearless mudra. I find it helpful for many of us especially those who keep worry for health, work , .... Human hor alot worries and alot of time is because cannot let go and also too much ego or greed. Everyone have greed....but we need to be more mindful and slowly improve on ourselves
右第二手作施无畏印,右掌五指开立,为五智之光明义,是令人道众生无畏,实具大悲深重,故显此手印。
So if u have always have alot fear and worries in life. Once u chant Zhunti mantra u can also looks at her this particular arm and be strong.
Of all the arms today let me share with u on the second arm on her right.
Fearless mudra u can see looks like that as below.
The hand forming the Fearless Mudra represents the ability to deliver sentient beings away from all terror and fears.
Fear:
Alot of people face with fear daily from unknown and worries. So many of us live our lives in fear. We’re afraid of failure, of being vulnerable (and risking rejection), afraid of not fitting in, of messing up, of letting ourselves and others down. We’re afraid to stay stuck and just as afraid to get well; we fear pain and distress, ridicule and blame and we even fear our own thoughts and feelings!
So is all in your mind. If u can , just quiet ur mind for 5 mins a day and do some breathing excersise and chant mantra as stage ONE for handling fear. People call it mindfulness. But i think keep it simple
when fear arises, chant the mantra and see the mudra of ZhunTi 菩萨
Being in the present moment, letting the past go, not worrying about what might come in the future, is the secret to fearlessness. The past is gone. The future isn’t here yet. If you dwell only in this moment, in this second, there is no fear. You can’t fear the future if you’re not thinking of the future. You can’t fear the loss of past memories if you’re putting aside the past.
Mindfulness is a state of “observation” — you observe your own breath, your own mind, your own body, your own actions in the present moment only. If your mind is plagued with fear, mindfulness meditation allows you to detach and observe the thoughts, analyze them, become your own teacher.
Thich Nhat Hanh explains, “Sometimes fear manifests, and our mindful breathing brings us back to our fear so we can embrace it. We look deeply into the nature of our fear to reconcile ourselves with it… transform itHer other arms we will talk about next time:
