Not a religion but Art

Decided to do something special during my birthday month. ... Oil painting on love and light to all readers:> No matter what religion you believe in, we must have a loving and compassionate heart, with wisdom in our action, be grateful and help people without expectation......

Painting Kwan Yin's face is extremely tough and need our teacher to guide us. We will start painting the face next week :) Though it may not a professional piece of drawing but hope you can feel the compassionate love and light from the paintings :)

50% of the painting is completed, and the details will be done next week.
We will complete by Kwan Yin Birthday, which is on 26th Oct 2010, and bring the paintings to Temple for blessing. May this two paintings send rays of compassion and healing power to every corner of the world.
Oil Painting .....
First Stop: Buddhism
To me, Buddhism is not a religion but an art. Healing expressed through colours on compassion, loving kindness and Wisdom. I attended a class on drawings for culture of different religions. I started off with Buddhism....next, I will paint paintings related to other religions.
This is our first time using charcoal to sketch the Buddha or Kwan Yin, followed by oil painting.

Project 2: Taoism Art.
Dr Phua is a Christian, who enjoys religious harmony. He drew the Medicine Buddha and painted his drawing with amazing colors. As a color therapist, I must say Dr Phua has a pair of healing hands.... we are very fortunate to have a Doctor like him in Singapore, who goes out all the way to care for people.... Keep it up. A religious harmony person is a blessed person, enjoying a lot of happy things in life :)
Bryan 老师 Art Therapy and Healing class in 2011. Get ready to attend ok :>
200 students trained in art therapy in 2010.....
