Chapter 1 of Dao De Jing
Chapter 1 of the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu states that the Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao. The name that can be named is not the eternal name. The nameless is the beginning of heaven and earth. The named is the mother of ten thousand things. Ever desireless, one can see the mystery. Ever desiring, one can see the manifestations
Above is the text but what does it mean?
My own explanation (In purple)
It means not everything can be defined or explained. If it can be explained it has limitation. The Heaven is quiet and earth is quiet yet it can produce mysteries of things. So sometimes just keep ur mouth shut and mind quiet.
Chapter One of the Dao de Jing teaches us some important things lah:
1. **Embrace Uncertainty**: Not everything can be named or understood, so just open your heart to the unknown. Really sometimes dont ask too much.
2. **Balance of Opposites**: Life got good and bad times. Accept both as part of the journey, and you’ll feel more grounded. I know sometimes u feel more bad than good. but if u see bad as a phase than more good come.
3. **Simplicity**: Focus on the simple things and don’t complicate your life too much for more peace. A little bit of things you like to amplify and also sometimes ur love one have issues u worry so much end up you think back , u dont waste ur energy to worry instead do simple chanting and affirmation and let heaven handle. More worry or do so much things also useless. 4. **Inner Wisdom**: Look beyond what you see on the surface to find deeper truths that help you handle challenges better.
Overall, it tells us to take life easy, be accepting, and find balance in everything. Easy to say la i know but u need to start learning as most of u same as me very old liao. If still cant see open how u enjoy the next decade of your life.
