When I see this advertisement it pains my heart. I know some Old incense maker in the world some have more than few decades History. Not every one can buy a box of $800 : " real incense". And how about people like us cant afford daily pray Buddha use a incense of $20 a stick?
First Let us recall ; Do you think Buddha need to smell incense? He don't bother care. Even u DIY incense using normal powder or dried ur house wood and gind to powder and offer He is ok.
Buring of incense has deeper meaning: The main purpose is once incense is light up, the scent calm our mind so we can settle down our naughty mind to pray and be hardworking to develop our self.
Is only this few year commercial starts to sell incense at $400 at $1000 for a box of powder . But if u can afford go ahead by all means. U burn this kind of incense because u like it. Not Buddha like it.
Using a pair of palm and pray is more powerful than a incense.
