Thousand of years ago, scholars need to study fengshui as one of their subject for filial piety. Through studying of the 5 elements, the scholar will know when is the right time to travel. Back then, travelling from one place to another required weeks or months. After years of research, I think its good to find out about your Ba Zhi at least once in your life time. Find out which elements you are lacking of. Is it Earth, Wood, Metal, Water or Fire? Then balanced yourself with colors or food.
However after a reading, some very commercialised ones will prompt you to buy expensive items, which may not always be neccessary.
The above picture was taken with a fengshui master who did a reading for me through analysing a Chinese Character that I wrote. How it actually goes is, I asked him a question and he told me to write a Chinese character. Any character that first come to my mind. Through this character, he analysed and answered my question. Gosh. I was amazed by his explanations. Accurate and to the point! This is so fun and it certainly broaden my knowledge of Chinese characters.
I will highlight some issues in the Rat year on Monday. Just something for us to take note of.
