From Jennifer:
"Lao shi, I am a christian. I am so so confuse to use sandalwood incense for facial. Everytime I use i feel guilty and i love the smell of Kim's sandalwood. Every time i burn, i feel is a SIN. I leave in fear God will punish me. ONe day I find all rules and regulation are created by human. I am a good person, do volunteer work with love and helpful at all time. Will GOD end me to hell just because I use sandalwood. I think , when I do research on bible.....
Lao shi thanks for everything. Your words really bring calmness to my confusion."
Jennifer's research
Moses is given instructions for the Temple Of God. We are also told the incense is forevermore. This means they were to never end. The Lord even refers to our worship as "sweet incense" in His nostrils. We learn in Exodus 30 the Incense of the Bible is for the purpose of worship.
Exodus 30:8 and when Aaron lights the lamps at twilight, he shall burn incense on it, a perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations. Ok, it seemed I had found the answer.
The incense was to be used in the Church of today. Remember the verse said, forevermore?. That means today too. So now what? So I thought, ok, I will do an experiment. Since Moses had told Aaron to burn the incense in morning why not try using them while I am praying in the mornings and see what happens.
During my time of research I decided to burn the Frankincense during my intimate times with the Lord. I also decided to ask some friends to do the same and report back to me how they liked the incense. In my own experience I was amazed the times with the Lord went into deep deep times of intercession, revelations that I found later confirmed out with His word, and visions that I found later confirmed in His word. As for the others? They each were equally amazed to find the same thing happening to them.
Another interesting thing was each of us also found that the environment in our homes were changing, each of us in a different way, according to the desire of the Lord. My house became a place of sanctuary, peace, and ministry.

Bryan's words: Life is short. How many ten years do we have? Be good, relax a bit, smile more, be helpful, Let Go and Let God. You can be a high monk but if you still cannot let go and very critical in your views, you are still not there yet.
Remember, anything extreme is no good. Middle path is best. I can be a Buddhist but I must not be extremes in practising my beliefs. However, Bryan is still a human being. I do what I need to do as a human and applied what is taught good in all religions to my life :)
Christianity: Loving kindness, Buddhism: Great Compassion, Taoism: Filial Piety etc....
well written.
